Finniss River Barramundi Fishing

Join a Finniss River Barramundi Fishing Safari with Darwin's Barra base to experience Barramundi fishing in Outback Australia.

Darwins Barra Base prides itself in giving you and your friends the adventure of a lifetime. We will take you to remote locations and to great fishing areas within pristine waters that will have your arms aching during the tremendous fights with our wild NT Barramundi, Threadfin Salmon & Black Jewfish.

Our service structure to you includes:

• First night free accommodation at Darwins Barra Base B&B Lodge for repeat business groups, or for already organized Groups of 4 Persons or more. Otherwise accommodation can be booked at normal room rates of $150 per room per night, (4 guests can comfortably reside in our guestrooms with own ensuite).
• Pre purchase of your alcohol at your expense prior to arrival, or assistance to obtain canned beer for your Safari on arrival from the Pub.
• All meals whilst on safari, and remote lodge accommodation, plus freezing of your fish, and packaging of the fish in approved Airline boxes for your flight home.
• Fishing safaris are completed in either of our 3 great NT Government surveyed plated guide boats powered by 250Hp or 150Hp 4 Stroke Suzuki Motors. Please see photo of the boats here, They are 7.8m Mono-Hull with a 250Hp with a 30Hp Suzuki Axially, 6.8m Hydracraft with 250Hp Suzuki and a 5.8m Hydracraft with 150Hp Suzuki.
• All vessels are spacious and comfortable with padded swivel seats and canopies for shade, with deep venturi live well tanks for holding your fish alive for that group fish photo. They also have large Eskies under the cast deck to put your fish keepers on ice.

Our guides have extensive knowledge of the fishing localities and there waters and will demonstrate great local knowledge to ensure that your group will be at the right place at the right time for that trophy fish that you have dreamed of. Our guides work as a team when working the remote localities to ensure best coverage and knowledge is used to ensure greater catch percentages, as well as safety and security of each other, whilst on the water.

Our Safari experiences have you fishing the pristine run off waters of the Finniss River System that flows into Fog Bay, as well as the coastal creeks & Reefs along Anson Bay. The flora and fauna at this time of year is breathtaking, and the birdlife is phenomenal. You will experience crocodiles in their own habitat and where pigs roam wild and dingoes scavenge for a feed along the edges of the mighty remote Finniss River.

The fishing experience not only covers Finniss River Barramundi from 50cm to 130cm, but also Golden Snapper, Threadfin Salmon over a metre, Blue Salmon, and don?t forget the awesome pulling power of the Black Jewfish.
