Darwin's Barra Base prides itself in delivering great Full One Day Barramundi Fishing Trips for individuals, couples and groups up to 8 persons per day. We have 2 great custom built guide boats, and 2 x 4WD Vehicles and a trailer full of fuel, just waiting to take up to 8 clients a day on the Fishing Adventure that has not been done since March 2007 after Cyclone Larry drowned us, like Cyclone Carlos just did.
Rate: $600 Per Person Includes: Full Day $340 per person for Shady Camp Fishing including Morning Tea & Lunches and $160pp for Helicopter Flights over the massive flooded Adelaide River.

Pick-ups from your business or accommodation location or up to 4 separate locations per vehicle (4 clients per vehicle) at approx 5.15 to 5.45am,
At approx 6.20- 6.30am we stop at Window on the Wetlands and wait for the Helicopters to land. Once landed helicopter pilot will advise your guide to prepare you to board the helicopter.

Helicopters for Fishing
Once boarded you will be flown around Beetrice Hill, and across the wide flooded Adelaide River, (WOW what a sight to see so much water, absolutely awesome to see from the air).
After landing on the dry highlands on the east side, de-board the helicopter and hope into the other awaiting Darwin's Barra Base 4WD, where another guide will take you fishing for the day.
Stop at Corroboree Park Tavern at approx 7am, where you the clients, or conference group persons can purchase your own Breakfast and cup of Tea or Coffee. Have a toilet stop & refresh. After approx 15 minute comfort stop we continue on to the Boat Ramp to load & launch the boats at Shady Camp Boat Ramp.
We supply = Morning tea, (muffins & fruit); packed meat & salad lunches, soft drinks and chilled ice water, and all the fishing equipment and tackle required for the trip (you lose it or break it then you replace it basis).
BYO canned beer or UDL is allowed and will be placed in eskies under ice for you, when we stop at Corroboree Park Tavern. or Dundee Lodge.
Full day fishing time on water Mary River is from approx 8.15am to 2.30 - 3pm; returning clients to Darwin at approx 4.30 to 5pm. For Finniss River 7.30am to 2.30 - 3pm, returning approx 6pm.
All Barra Keepers (55 +cm) can be released after Group Catch Photos, or filleted for your keeping, and are placed under ice or iced water in the esky for chilled transport back to Darwin.
