A Bluewater Mothership based safari chasing Saltwater Barramundi, Sailfish and Pelagics cuts out long daily travel times and keeps you fishing for days at a time.

Victoria.
The vessel is based at the mouth of the Daly River, to assist you to gain a great fishing berth at the mouth of the coastal creeks along the length of the Daly River especially Clear Creek. Also this is only 30 minute boat ride up to Peron Islands, Bateman Shoal and a little further to the tremendous fishing grounds wide of North Peron Island and Sail City. This allowing you, the great advantage to hook and land that trophy Barra, Spanish Mackeral, Queenfish, Snapper, Coral Trout or those big Black Jewfish.

Mothership at Daly River
Mother ship accommodation breaks down the fatigue factor, allowing you more fishing time, and more rest time doing away with the travel time from land based accommodation lodges and boating time from the Daly River or Dundee Boat Ramps. Plus allows you to gain possible night time Jew fishing out at Peron Islands or at the mouth of Daly River bay reefs, plus giving you that great remote fishing experience in the heart of one of the best mid season fishing river locations in Northern Territory. Daly River is world famous for the quantity and quality of 70 to Metre-plus Barra landed over neap and spring tides during the late April - June period. It is where the Barra Nationals and Barra Classic have been held since conception some 28 years now, and mostly in late April and May.

Darwins Barra Base boats
get you to the fish.
Read Jarrod Day's report on a safari with Darwins Barra Base to get a feel for the excitement that days of non-stop fishing can bring.
As Jarrod says;"
Allan's, the type of salty that has
been fishing for years and knows his
waterway like the back of his hand;
better yet he knows where all the good
ishing is and still gets just as excited,
as a first time angler the minute a fish
s hooked up."

Happy anglers display their catches on the beach after

2nd - 5th Day
Up early depending on tides to beat other guides and fishos to the best location. This may mean taking breakfast with us, then coming back after the run out has completed for lunch and out again in the afternoon to get to the right spot to do that Barra fishing, or chasing and pulling up the freight train of the sea - those metre-plus Black Jewfish, or pulling up 7-8Kg Golden Snappers. Or spending the day chasing Sailfish, Spanish Mackeral, Queenfish. Most just smile their heads off whilst holding up 20lb, 30 and 40lb plus Pelagics, like Spanish Mackerel, Queenfish and Northern Blue, Mack or Long Tail Tuna. The bonus is landing 1.5 to 2.72m Sailfish off North Peron, Bateman Shoal or Sail City. An awesome experience, for all persons on board. How many times will your PB's be broken is the next question?
Returning back to the Mother ship, either during the middle of the day for a rest or at the end of the day. Clean, refuel and prepare boat for next day. Down a couple of coldies, shower, rest up and prepare for the evening meal, have a few more drinks & sleep.
Depending on the tidal influence and the weather we may also complete night Jewfish Fishing out the front of Palmerston Island in the Daly River, or at Chanel Point at Peron Island.
