Depart Home state flights arranged by self (times TBA). Arrive Darwin and transfer to Darwin’s Barra Base B & B. Courtesy Bus pick up from airport free if arrive before 7.30pm, if after get a taxi to 2 Todd Cres Malak. First night accommodation at B&B are at discounted rates for booking fisho's, unless this is a repeat fishing group booking of 4 or more, and then it is free, courtesy of Darwin's Barra Base.
Up at 4.30am early self serve continental breaky in your function room, pack bags in 4WD's and travel early to Mary River and launch at Shady Camp and complete full day Barra fishing with Darwin's Barra Base chasing the almighty Saltwater Barra. Approx 5.30pm park boat at private boat park and move to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge for swim, relaxation, evening meal & overnight accommodation.
Up approx 5.30am early breaky at 6am, unless earlier starts are required to get you to the right spot to target Barra fishing, casting hooking and landing metre-plus Barramundis or chasing and pulling up the freight train of the sea those metre-plus Black Jewfish, or pulling up 7-8Kg Golden Snappers. Most just smile their heads off whilst holding up 30lb, 40lb, or 50lb plus Big Slapper Barramundi's. Depending on the tidal influence we normally return back to Boat Ramp approx 5.30pm. Clean and prepare boat for next day, travel back to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge. Down a couple of coldies at the bar, shower, rest up or go for a swim. Take in the evening meal, have a few drinks & sleep

Up approx 5.30am, pack up clothing pack bags and leave cabins, place luggage in storage. Early breakfast and out fishing, returning back to Boat Ramp approx 3pm clean & refuel boat etc. Travel to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge approx 4 pm. Sign off accounts and return to Darwin's Barra Base B&B. Unpack car, swim, rest drink and prepare for evening meal where individual awards are issued.
Fly out midnight of 5th Day or stay over for 6th Day at B&B and have day off (sleep in & relax) - own arrangements around Darwin, fly back to home state or stay at our B&B and sight see our Northern Territory (flights arranged by self). Please book extra nights if you wish to stay on for a couple of days or a week or so to ensure rooms are available.
Please note that the actual fishing destination
for the Barra Run Off Fishing Safari is normally completed at the Mary River
System, however we
go where the fish are biting best and this may mean moving
to the Finniss River or Daly River.
