This was Marja's maiden voyage to the Top End, on a Barra Fishing Safari, and it just goes to show that you can achieve anything if you really want to and you have the best guides to assist you.

You just can't keep a good and determined woman down!!
A breast cancer survivor, Marja was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1994 and has recently had deep brain stimulation surgery - a new technology that is giving Parkie sufferers a new lease on life. She is a keen sportswoman having played cricket up until 2004 and plays competitive golf 3 times a week at her home club of Box Hill in Victoria.

When she landed the monster 119cm fish, she remarked to a roar of laughter from the crew, and clapping from many other recreational boats around them, "It did pull a bit!"

Jarrod Day landed in Darwin on one of the coldest days on record and faced the challenge of Barramundi fishing in cool-water conditions. Read his tips and how he overcame the challenge to land some great Barra  in cool water.
