131cm 60+ Lb Barra

This 131cm 60+ Lb Barra Lady caught by Ms Claire Mathias guided by Tony Le Brun from Darwins Barra Base Fishing Safaris at Shady Camp.

" A fantastic days fishing capped off with some great guiding to land me in the metre-plus club.

Thanks Allan & Tony for a great Days Fishing I will be back next year to complete an Extended Barra Run off Safari with you."

The Barra was hooked using 10ft Barra Classic, and was landed by Allan Beale & Tony Le Brun uniting together with the net to lift the big girl into the boat. The fish was photographed and released to swim away after approx 20 minutes of careful nurturing beside the boat.

These larger Barras do take a lot of knowledge and skill to land, photograph and put back successfully.

Good thing the crocs did not think it was feeding time. Did you worry that you were holding onto a distressed fish in the water for 20mins?
